TUNNEL OF LOVE, UKRAINE

84zG.gif (90×90)For those of us who are head over heels in love, here’s a new destination to consider. The Tunnel of Love, located in Ukraine, used to be just another train rail section, but eventually turned into one of the most romantic spots on Earth. As trees were left to grow freely around the rails, the passing train was the only thing shaping its way through. Eventually, by crossing the Kleven village forest back and forth three times a day, the train shaped a closed tunnel according to it’s size.
Today the Tunnel of Love is highly popular among lovers Hmmmmmm…. It is believed that if two people are sincere in their love and cross the tunnel while holding each other’s hands, their wishes will come true.
We love seeing natural architecture here at Inhabitat, and the leafy green Kleven train tunnel is a beautiful example of what happens when nature is allowed to grow freely around manmade infrastructure. The tunnel was made over many years as the passing train molded the trees’ lines. The train turned a luscious piece of woodland into a unique passageway as it traveled back and forth 3 times a day over several years. In addition to serving as a train route, the tunnel is used by lovers to make a wish – it is said that if they are sincere in their love, their wishes will come true. If you are out and about Ukraine, don’t miss this fantastic green passageway – whether you are with a loved one, or on your own.
Railway Tunnel of Love stretches for 1 km and the railroad connects Klevan with Orzhevsk Woodworking Plant is around 3 km. After the workers of the plant not actively using the railway and therefore do not cut the trees they very thickly covered with vegetation. Branches of trees intertwined to form the walls and ceiling, colorful and neat having generated at the Tunnel of Love. Go through this Tunnel of Love extraordinarily beautiful in spring, summer or autumn. Locals say that Tunnel of Love is also very beautiful after a heavy snowfall in winter. Tunnel of Love is considered "a place of blessing" for couples. Unique landscaping of Tunnel of Love created directly by nature and the train with several cars that passes through the tunnel and comb out branches of trees maintaining the shape of Tunnel of Love.

EMPEROR PENGUINS, ANTARCTICA

off60_%28171%29.gif (50×50)

As you think of the places to go to for your extreme weather expedition, find time to visit the Emperor Penguins in Antarctica. Many tourists often visit this magnificent animal since they freely roam in this continent. It is much more fascinating to see them in their natural habitat instead of seeing them locked up in aquariums and zoos in your local area.
The Emperor Penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species and is endemic to Antarctica. The male and female are similar in plumage and size, reaching 122 cm (48 in) in height and weighing anywhere from 22 to 45 kg (49 to 99 lb). The dorsal side and head are black and sharply delineated from the white belly, pale-yellow breast and bright-yellow ear patches. Like all penguins it is flightless, with a streamlined body, and wings stiffened and flattened into flippers for a marine habitat.
A Pair of Penguins
This kind of pairs of Emperor penguins are can see at Snow Hill Island which located in Antarctica.
Tourist at Snow Hill Island

In my opinion, Emperor Penguin (Snow Hill Island) is one of the most attractive destinations for tourist from many countries.

UENO PARK, JAPAN

myavatar170030131.gif (90×90)Ueno Park is a spacious public park in the Ueno district of Taito, Tokyo, Japan. The park was established in 1873 on lands formerly belonging to the temple of Kanei-ji. Amongst the country's first public parks, it was founded following the western example as part of the borrowing and assimilation of international practices that characterizes the early Meiji period.
The people who prefer to go a trip, I would like to suggest that the Ueno Park which located in Japan is most attractive place for relaxation. There are a lot of natural features which could make the tourist to be excited. The park has some 8,800 trees, including Ginkgo biloba, Cinnamomum camphora, Zelkova serrata, Formosan cherry, Somei-Yoshino cherry, and Japanese cherry. There is a further 24,800 m2 of shrubs. Shinobazu Pond is a small lake with an area of 16 ha, extensive lotus beds, and marshland. It provides an important wintering ground for birds. Species commonly found include the Tufted Duck, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Pintail, Common Pochard, Little Grebe, Great Egret, and Great Cormorant. The Baer's Pochard, Ring-necked Duck, and American Wigeon have also been recorded. The central island houses a shrine to Benzaiten, goddess of fortune, modelled on Chikubu Island in Lake Biwa. The area was once full of "rendezvous teahouses", equivalent of the modern love hotel. After the Pacific War the pond was drained and used for the cultivation of cereals and subsequently there were plans to turn the site into a baseball stadium or multi-storey carpark.

The lotus pond was restored in 1949, although much of it was again accidentally drained in 1968 during work on a new subway line. In all there are some eight hundred cherry trees in the park, although with the inclusion of those belonging to the Tōshō-gū shrine, temple buildings, and other neighbouring points the total reaches some twelve hundred. Inspired, Matsuo Bashō wrote "cloud of blossoms - is the temple bell from Ueno or Asakusa"
